Changing Perceptions: Photographic Exhibition on Living Donation

As part of NHS Blood & Transplant’s Living Transplant Initiative, Gift of Living Donation in partnership with Guy’s Hospital, collaborated on a photographic collection of Black living donors.

The aim of the exhibition was to empower Black patients to have early conversations about living donation with family and friends. It also served to raise awareness, challenge myths and taboos around living donation within the Black community.

At the heart of the exhibition were the amazing and inspirational real-life stories of living donation. You can read some of their stories on our Donation Stories page.

The portraits present powerful and thought-provoking photographs of African Caribbean men and women, who live, work and socialise in London.
